Suzlon has secured a 250 MW wind energy order from Torrent Green Energy, taking their cumulative partnership to more than 1.3 GW across three states.
Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy has received a new 250 MW order from Torrent Green Energy, expanding the companies’ long-standing partnership in India’s renewable energy sector.
The latest contract marks the sixth order placed by Torrent Green Energy with Suzlon. With the addition of the new project, the cumulative capacity covered by their partnership has crossed 1.3 GW across Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
Under the agreement, Suzlon will supply 76 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3.3 MW. The company will also provide grid integration support and long-term operations and maintenance services through its Asset Management Services (AMS) business.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of the Suzlon Group, said the company considers long-term customer relationships an important measure of its business growth. He added that Torrent Green Energy has remained a key customer for more than a decade and has become one of Suzlon’s largest customer partnerships.
The latest order adds to Suzlon’s growing order book in the current financial year. The company said it has secured more than 1.1 GW of new orders so far in FY27, reflecting continued demand for its wind energy solutions.
