TCL enters an ambitious and elbow-to-elbow Indian smartphone market, with the purpose of making a mark, specifically in online retailing.

Chinese electronics company TCL look forward to spawn revenue of $100 million (Rs 665 crore) from India in a year from now as it makes the South Asian nation its fulcrum for global smartphone launches.
TCL,the world’s 10th largest smartphone maker is also outlining manufacturing phones lprovincially and intents to alter to the No. 3 online smartphone dealer in the fastest-growing smartphone market in the world by 2018.
TCL on Monday launched its first mobile phone under its own brand, TCL 560, priced at Rs 7,999, which will be available exclusively on Amazon. Future devices will be priced between Rs 7,999 and Rs 17,999.
TCL is being affirmative of launching IoT (Internet of Things) products including wearables. They also notified that they shall continue to be an online brand only in near future.
TCL aims to spend $5 million on digital marketing till December 2016. In comparison, Chinese rivals OPPO, Vivo, Gionee and LeEco collectively plan to spend Rs 1,000 crore on television, print advertising and marketing within this year.
