ABB’s industrial leadership and TCS’ advanced engineering capabilities to enable next-gen infrastructure and enterprise applications
Tata Consultancy Services signs an MoU with ABB to collaborate across IT infrastructure and applications, digital and industrial AI initiatives, data centres, and other emerging technologies.
The MoU defines intent to drive innovation, operational resilience, and sustainable growth through a long-term partnership approach.
Under the MoU, ABB’s leadership in electrification and automation will combine with TCS’ global technology and delivery capabilities.
Both companies define three key collaboration areas:
- IT infrastructure and applications transformation
- AI and factory modernisation
- AI infrastructure development opportunities
Under these key areas, both companies will make an agile, secure, resilient and cost-optimised IT foundation, focussing on operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
They will jointly collaborate on industrial AI, digital twins, vision-based inspection and OT-IT convergence and explore opportunities related to electrification, automation, digital and software domains during AI infrastructure development activities in India.

On this development, Morten Wierod, CEO ABB, said, “India remains an important growth market for us and the renewed partnership will position ABB as one of the key partners for TCS’ ambitious data centre expansion plans.”
