The Bengaluru office is part of Teradyne’s broader India strategy
Teradyne has opened a new office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to strengthen its support for India’s growing semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industry.
Located at Vesta Building, Bagmane Cosmos Tech Park, the new office will serve as a hub for customer engagement, applications support, training, and strategic partnerships. The facility is expected to help Teradyne support chipmakers and electronics manufacturers as India expands its domestic fabrication, packaging, and testing capabilities.
India presence is growing as artificial intelligence (AI) drives demand across the semiconductor supply chain, from wafer manufacturing to data centres. The Bengaluru office is part of Teradyne’s broader India strategy, led by Country Manager Alpa Sood.
“India is at an inflection point in its semiconductor journey,” said Greg Smith, President and CEO, Teradyne. He added that the local presence will enable the company to work more closely with customers, government partners, and the wider semiconductor ecosystem.
The development comes amid increasing investments under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), which aims to build domestic semiconductor manufacturing and packaging capabilities.
Amitesh Kumar Sinha, CEO of the India Semiconductor Mission and Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, said Teradyne’s permanent presence in India would strengthen the country’s semiconductor value chain as fabrication, packaging, and testing capabilities scale up.
