Joint development and engineering activities will focus on advancing products and establishing manufacturing capabilities required for volume production.
TriLite Technologies GmbH, a developer of compact laser beam scanning (LBS) projection displays, has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with AAC Technologies Pte Ltd to jointly develop, manufacture and commercialize LBS-based display solutions for consumer AR/MR/VR devices and automotive applications.
Under the agreement, the companies will combine TriLite’s expertise in compact, energy-efficient LBS display engines with AAC Technologies’ manufacturing capabilities and customer access. The partnership is aimed at accelerating the transition of TriLite’s technology from development to high-volume commercial deployment.
TriLite’s LBS technology enables projection displays in highly compact form factors, making it suitable for lightweight AR smart glasses, mixed-reality devices and automotive projection systems. The collaboration is expected to help address growing demand for smaller, energy-efficient and scalable display solutions, particularly in consumer electronics and automotive markets.
The partnership also supports TriLite’s strategy of building an ecosystem for the industrial-scale deployment of its projection display technology. In addition to the strategic cooperation agreement, AAC Technologies has led TriLite’s latest financing round. The investment will support TriLite’s continued product development and the industrialization of its LBS display technology.
AAC Technologies said the collaboration combines its manufacturing expertise and market access with TriLite’s LBS technology, supporting the development of next-generation AR devices.
The companies will continue working together on joint development and engineering activities as they seek to expand the use of compact, energy-efficient projection displays across AR and automotive applications.
