The company reported annual revenue of over ₹250 crore and offers a portfolio of more than 23 electric vehicle models
Tunwal E-Motors Limited has recently shared plans to expand its dealership presence to more than 1,000 places across India by the year 2026-27. The agenda is to expand its presence through a dealership network in high-growth markets as demand for affordable electric two-wheelers continues to rise in non-metro regions.
The company is currently operating more than 450 dealers across 19 states. The expansion will improve customer access to electric vehicles (EVs), after-sales services, and financing, particularly in Tier II and Tier III cities where adoption is accelerating.
Tunwal sold 69,737 electric vehicles in FY2025-26, registering 51.33% year-on-year growth, driven by increasing EV adoption and rising demand for cost-effective mobility solutions.
As part of its expansion plans, the focus will be on Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, and Uttarakhand, whereas further consolidating operations in western markets, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, which it expects to be major growth regions for electric mobility.
Alongside dealership expansion, Tunwal is enhancing its ecosystem through financing partnerships with Bajaj Finance and Bundela Fincorp, while increasing investments in after-sales service infrastructure, spare parts availability, and accessories to improve the ownership experience.
“Our growth reflects the increasing acceptance of electric mobility across India. As we scale, expanding our dealership network remains a key priority to ensure customers across regions have access to reliable EV solutions and support, especially in non-metro markets, where trust and accessibility play a crucial role in adoption. We believe this expansion will be instrumental in driving wider EV adoption across the country,” said Jhumarmal Tunwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Tunwal E-Motors Limited.
The company reported annual revenue of over ₹250 crore and offers a portfolio of more than 23 electric vehicle models. Tunwal is also investing in lithium battery manufacturing and backward integration to make its position stronger across the EV value chain. These investments are aimed at improving cost competitiveness and supporting the company’s nationwide expansion plans.
