KYMCO, along with Twenty Two Motors, plans on Ionex and Ionex Commercial, an EV solution that will enable customers, businesses and governments to adopt premium electric mobility. The company claims Ionex as a game-changing solution for India’s Go Green vision as it covers the complete electric vehicles system – Evs, charging facilities, removable batteries and advanced information technologies. Ionex charging solutions include fast charging and battery swaps. Ionex commercial offers customised electric scooters and boasts of the world’s first cloud-based infrastructure operating system.

Commenting on Ionex, Allen Ko, chairman, KYMCO said that while it enabled consumers to opt for electric without compromise, it also catered to the requirement of reliable charging stations and related support for EVs. He added that the new solution was a complete EV package.

Electric scooter

KYMCO and Twenty Two Motors have launched FLOW, a smart electric scooter equipped with Ionex technology. The battery gets charged within an hour and FLOW riders can have a fixed reserve battery on board that will be kept fully charged by the removable battery. They can enjoy up to 20 km ride without the support of the additional fully charged removable battery. Twenty Two Motors, founded by Parveen Kharb and Vijay Chandrawat have equipped the innovation with artificial intelligence and internet of things (IoT) among other features.

These electric scooters will be available from 2019 in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore. KYMCO expects half a million sale of these scooters in India in its initial years.
