Tuesday, December 2, 2014: Vikram Solar, the Kolkata based solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer, announced on 27 November that they are planning to expand their manufacturing footprint, by extending their operations into solar cell production as well.
The Kolkata based manufacturer of PV modules and EPC solutions provider supply their products in international markets as well. Their current expansion plan involves the rise in their module production capacity to 350 MW cumulative by Q2, 2015 and 600 MW by Q4, 2015.
Besides, the company is also evaluating several options including joint venture agreements with major solar cell players to establish a cell manufacturing plant of 250 MW by Q1, 2016 to meet the rising demand of solar cells, made in India.
Vikram Solar plant is a Kolkata based company with PV solution facilities situated in the Special Economic Zone of Falta in West Bengal.
