With a ₹20.35 billion EPC order in Maharashtra, Vikran Engineering takes on 600 MW solar projects, a part of the expansion of its renewable execution pipeline ahead.
Vikran Engineering Limited has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract worth ₹20.35 billion from Onix Renewables Limited, a special purpose vehicle, to develop 600 MW AC solar power projects in Maharashtra.
The company has announced that projects will be executed across multiple locations in the state and are to be completed within 12 months.
The contract, dated 22 December 2025, will be delivered on a turnkey EPC basis. Vikran Engineering will handle the whole project lifecycle, including design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing and commissioning.
The scope also covers key equipment supply, such as solar photovoltaic modules and inverters, making it a comprehensive execution package.
Commenting on this deal, Vikran’s Chairman and Managing Director, Rakesh Markhedkar, noted, “This win meaningfully strengthens our order book and positions us well for sustained growth.”
This order significantly expands Vikran Engineering’s solar EPC portfolio and adds to its ongoing work in power transmission and distribution, water infrastructure and railway electrification.
The company is a diversified EPC player providing turnkey services from design through commissioning and has completed over 45 projects across 14 states for public- and private-sector clients. It operates on an asset-light model with a broad vendor base and plans to scale its renewable energy business while maintaining execution efficiency.
