VinFast plans to introduce two new models every year in India, catering to a wide range of customer segments
Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast on Wednesday reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian market, announcing plans to introduce a diverse portfolio of electric vehicles, including electric two-wheelers.
The company unveiled its premium seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle, the VF MPV 7, priced at ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom India). With this launch, VinFast marks its entry into a new segment while strengthening its presence in the country.
As part of its growth strategy, VinFast plans to introduce two new models every year in India, catering to a wide range of customer segments. The company also confirmed that its electric scooters are set to debut in the Indian market in the second half of this year, signaling its entry into the fast-growing two-wheeler EV segment.
Speaking at the launch, Tapan Ghosh, CEO of VinFast India, said that the VF MPV 7 is designed for modern Indian consumers who seek comfortable and shared mobility options for families and groups. He added that the launch reflects the company’s broader vision and long-term plans in the country.
Ghosh further emphasised that VinFast aims to offer multiple product options tailored to diverse mobility needs, positioning itself as a comprehensive EV solutions provider in India.
