Friday, May 23, 2014: Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that Vishay Intertechnology Asia Pte Ltd has received the TTI Asia Supplier Excellence Award and the TTI Asia Diamond Award. Vishay is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components. TTI is the world’s leading authorized distributor specialist offering interconnect, passive, electromechanical, and discrete components.
This is the fourth year in a row that Vishay has won the TTI Asia Supplier Excellence Award and the third year in a row that it has won the TTI Asia Diamond Award.
The TTI Supplier Excellence Award program centers on quality measurements that include on-time delivery, receiving quality, customer quality, administrative quality, sales support, and business systems. Winners are determined by performance points for these criteria. Vishay qualified for the TTI Asia Diamond Award by receiving the highest total score among TTI’s suppliers in the Asia region.
The TTI Asia awards were presented to Vishay on April 10 at Vishay’s Asia headquarters in Singapore. Anthony Chan, Senior Vice President and General Manager, TTI Asia, presented the Supplier Excellence Award to Vishay’s Dominic Cheung, Senior Director of Sales, South East Asia. He presented the Diamond Award to Vishay’s Victor Lim, Senior Director, Distribution Sales, Asia.
