Wipro’s Cloud Car Solution components help FORVIA enhance ADAS applications by optimising them, minimising reliance on hardware, and boosting safety features through a cloud-native architecture.
Wipro is a leading global technology services and consulting company which has recently joined forces with FORVIA, ranked as the seventh-largest automotive technology supplier globally, to enhance FORVIA’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) applications.
In this collaborative effort, FORVIA has harnessed elements from Wipro Engineering Edge’s Cloud Car Solution, such as microservices and vehicle container architecture, to improve its vehicle safety and comfort applications. These enhancements have made FORVIA’s ADAS applications more hardware-independent, reduced maintenance costs, and facilitated seamless integration with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) using a cloud-native framework.
A key component of the initiative involved integrating FORVIA’s surround-view technology, which combines external camera feeds into a unified 3D perspective. This integration provides drivers with a superior view that aids in safer and more efficient parking manoeuvres. Additionally, transitioning to a microservices-based architecture has simplified FORVIA’s software development process, allowing the company to independently offer individual ADAS features and integrate these with other ADAS systems from various providers.
