Fuelled by fresh funding, Hyderabad’s Xbattery is gearing up to scale BharatBMS, its indigenous high-voltage battery management system, aiming to power India’s EV and energy storage future.
Hyderabad-based deep-tech startup Xbattery has secured $2.3 million in seed funding. The round was led by the Bipin Patel Family Office, with financial services firm Jhaveri Credits also participating.
The company stated that the fresh capital will be used for research and development (R&D), sourcing specialised hardware, expanding its workforce, and scaling prototype production to meet early customer demand.
Founded in 2024 by Satish Reddy, Sonu Mishra, and Varshith Rao, Xbattery develops advanced battery management systems (BMS). Its flagship product, BharatBMS, is a high-voltage system capable of supporting up to 800V. The technology is designed for electric vehicles (EVs) as well as stationary energy storage solutions for homes and industrial facilities.
Xbattery aims to reduce India’s dependence on imported BMS technology by offering an indigenous solution. According to the company, this will enhance the safety and reliability of EV batteries while also supporting renewable energy storage systems.
The development reportedly comes as India witnesses a sharp rise in electric vehicle adoption and renewable energy deployment. Investors have shown increasing interest in battery startups. Offgrid recently raised $15 million for its battery swapping and charging solutions, while Battery Smart secured $29 million in an ongoing Series B extension. Xbattery joins this growing list of companies attracting capital to power India’s clean mobility and energy future.
