Yulu Debuts Shared Mobility Services In Indore Via Franchise Model

In the collaboration, Yulu has provided Yuva with electric vehicles and its AI and IoT-powered mobility technology platform.

Yulu, a shared electric two-wheeler mobility company, has introduced its services in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, through a collaboration with a local firm, Yuva Mobility. As part of this partnership, Yulu has provided Yuva with electric vehicles, its AI and IoT-enabled mobility-tech platform, swappable EV batteries, and charging systems via Yuma, a subsidiary specializing in Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS). Additionally, Yulu has offered manpower training and support to enable Yuva to manage its daily operations independently.

This partnership holds significant importance for both companies, as they stand to benefit from each other’s strengths. Yuva Mobility’s strong local presence and understanding of the market dynamics will be complemented by Yulu’s extensive experience in the electric vehicle sector. Together, these synergies can help both firms enhance their market presence and reach a wider audience, leveraging their combined expertise to make a more substantial impact in the industry.

The launch in Indore represents Yulu’s innovative franchise partner-led model aimed at democratizing shared mobility in India. The company is actively engaging with entrepreneurs and businesses through its Yulu Business Partner (YBP) initiative to expand partner-led services to other cities nationwide.

Amit Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Yulu, highlighted Indore’s high livability and rapid growth as key factors in choosing the city for Yulu’s eco-friendly shared EV mobility platform.

Indore joins the list of cities where Yulu’s shared EV services are available, including major metros like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Delhi, and Gurugram, where the company operates 30,000 shared EVs. Yulu has also partnered with delivery and e-commerce companies to offer sustainable mobility solutions for their delivery partners, enhancing their earnings through affordable pricing plans and a cutting-edge technology platform. According to the company, Yulu’s EVs have facilitated over 475 million kilometres of green rides and 80+ million green deliveries.
