Zypp Electric Names Manoj Kohli As Senior Advisor To Advance EV Leadership And IPO Goals

Kohli brings a wealth of knowledge from multiple sectors, such as telecommunications, renewable energy, electric vehicles, and AI-driven digital technology. His participation marks a strategic move for Zypp Electric as it aims to transform sustainable logistics in India.

Manoj Kohli, a seasoned business leader with over 45 years of experience, has recently joined Zypp Electric, an Indian EV-as-a-service platform, as a Senior Advisor. This appointment is part of a strategic move to strengthen Zypp Electric’s leadership team and enhance its growth prospects in the last-mile delivery sector. Kohli brings a vast array of expertise spanning telecom, renewable energy, electric vehicles, and AI-led digital technology, all of which are anticipated to play a crucial role in driving the company towards its goal of launching an initial public offering (IPO) within the next two years.

During his tenure as Managing Director and CEO of Bharti Airtel, Kohli led the company’s expansion across 20 countries in Asia and Africa, significantly increasing its customer base to over 400 million and establishing it as a major player in the global telecom market. His leadership at SB Energy was marked by the development of more than 7GW of renewable energy capacity in India and the US, contributing notably to the green energy sector.

As the former Country Head of SoftBank India, Kohli supported investments totalling $15 billion in various AI-focused portfolio companies, including major names like OLA, OYO, Delhivery, Meesho, and Swiggy. He is recognized for his ability to coach businesses on effective execution strategies and has been instrumental in guiding numerous startups toward successful IPOs.

With Kohli’s appointment, Zypp Electric aims to leverage his extensive experience in scaling businesses globally to drive its own expansion and IPO readiness. The company hopes his involvement will not only strengthen its position in sustainable logistics within India but also enhance its offerings in eco-friendly logistics solutions, optimize fleet solutions, and foster a greener, more efficient logistics environment. Kohli’s focus will be on empowering the leadership team at Zypp Electric to achieve their ambitious goals and foster a culture of excellence and integrity. With his guidance, Zypp Electric plans to extend its market reach, reduce carbon emissions, and move confidently towards an IPO in the near future.
