In August 2014, GlacialTech Inc launched two new cold forging thermal modules—the Igloo FR210 and the Igloo FR210HP for LED lighting solutions. Both the modules are suitable for 80W applications. The Igloo FR210HP differs from the Igloo FR210 in that it is optimised for CoB and spotlight applications. The heat sinks for these modules are available in two colour options—silver and black. These thermal solutions range from 30W to 100W, which is generally the most suitable range for cold forging LED lighting solutions. They offer features such as better thermal conductivity than die casting and aluminium extrusion, one piece manufacturing with no extra assembly needed, a smooth surface and an environment friendly production process.
