In May 2014, Rohde & Schwarz launched its new R&S SGT100A, a vector signal generator with up to 6 GHz, specially optimised for use in production test systems. Using its internal baseband generator, the instrument reliably produces test signals for various digital standards. It is combined with the R&S FPS signal and spectrum analyser, yielding the ideal solution for production tests of high-frequency components. The instrument covers the frequency range from 80 MHz to 6 GHz. It is equipped with an integrated baseband generator that supports a maximum bandwidth of 160 MHz. Using the R&S WinIQSIM2 PC software, the generator can quickly and easily deliver test signals for all major digital standards such as LTE, 3GPP and WLAN IEEE 802.11ac.
