Cientra And Invas Forge Pioneering Partnership To Revolutionize IoT And 5G For Agriculture And Mining Sectors

  • The partnership aims to tackle the security and identity challenges confronted by IoT companies when enrolling their devices on 5G networks.
  • With Cientra’s specialized 5G IoT solutions unit, Invas IoT solutions will be broadened, expediting the adoption of use cases across sectors such as Agriculture and Mining.

In a strategic move set to transform India’s agricultural and mining sectors, Cientra have announced a groundbreaking partnership. Their joint venture is geared towards developing cutting-edge wireless sensors and actuators for applications spanning agriculture and mining, leveraging Cientra’s 5G platform and Invas’s IoT expertise. The primary objective of this collaboration is to usher in a new era of IoT device quality while ensuring the security and integrity of 5G networks.

By harnessing Cientra’s robust 5G platform and Invas’s IoT capabilities, these two industry giants will collaborate to create innovative solutions that enhance the security and identity of 5G networks. This strategic alignment is poised to open up new avenues for IoT systems, particularly in sectors like agriculture and mining, where there is a growing demand for edge computing and IoT solutions. One of the key challenges faced by businesses adopting IoT is the secure registration of devices on 5G networks, and this partnership aims to address this concern by implementing 5G security features and standard authentication, enabling real-time data monitoring and predictive maintenance.

The collaboration will focus on developing IoT device sensors and actuators for various applications, such as smart farming and mining, with rigorous testing. Farmers and miners will gain remote control capabilities through a dedicated IoT/mobile application and web interface, enabling real-time insights into their operations. This includes rapid leak detection and immediate response capabilities. Wireless sensors will capture critical data, including humidity, temperature, water levels, and water flow control through wireless solenoid actuators and pumps, facilitated by various connectivity options such as 2G, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, and Optical Fiber Cable (OFC).

Neeraj Dhawan, Managing Director of INVAS, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, citing Cientra’s ability to handle large data volumes and provide user-friendly interfaces. This collaboration aims to assist their clientele in transitioning to the IoT-as-a-service paradigm, delivering significant benefits to their enterprises. Anil Kempanna, CEO of Cientra, expressed the urgency of their 5G business initiatives, emphasizing their commitment to customizing solutions to meet customer needs and contributing to India’s technological advancement. He highlighted India’s potential to actively participate in technology advancement rather than merely being a consumer.

The companies are set to revolutionize the IoT and 5G landscape, particularly in the agriculture and mining sectors. Their comprehensive solutions, enabled by low-power sensors and actuators, will empower real-time monitoring through the Smartkheti Website and Mobile Application. This alliance is poised to bring about transformative changes in these vital industries, driving efficiency, security, and innovation.
