Bidders must have executed the O&M contract for at least one solar project with a minimum capacity of 12.5 MW for a year within the last decade.
Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation (HPPCL) has announced a tender for the development of 50 MW of solar power projects within the state’s boundaries. The scope of work for the project includes the design, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. The selected project developer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the projects for eight years following commissioning.
To qualify for consideration in the bidding process, prospective bidders, including contractors, joint ventures, or sub-contractors, must demonstrate a robust track record in project execution. Bidders must have executed the O&M contract for at least one solar project with a minimum capacity of 12.5 MW for a year within the last decade. Such bidders may qualify in one of the three following ways.
First way- Bidders must showcase successful participation in at least one solar project contract within the past decade. The qualifying project should have had a minimum capacity of 15 MW. The bidder’s participation value in the qualifying project must have exceeded ₹90 crore.
Second way- Bidders can demonstrate their expertise by presenting experience in executing a minimum of two solar projects, each with a capacity of 10 MW, in the last ten years. The participation value for each of the two projects must have exceeded ₹60 crore.
Third way – Bidders can demonstrate experience in executing three similar solar projects, each with a capacity of 5 MW. The participation value in each of the three projects must have exceeded ₹30 crore.
Interested parties have until January 23, 2024, to submit their bids, with the bid opening scheduled for the same day. A tender fee of ₹25,000 is required for submission.
This tender aims to attract experienced and financially capable project developers to undertake the construction and operation of solar power projects in Himachal Pradesh. It represents an opportunity to contribute to the state’s renewable energy goals and expand its solar power infrastructure.
