The Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SINE) aims to promote innovation and technology-based entrepreneurship. SINE is collaborating with Ansys Software Private Limited to support technology startups. Through the Startup Program, both entities have signed an MoU to formalise their collaboration. The company will conduct events with SINE to support engineering hardware startups and provide a three-month evaluation/trial license for startups associated with SINE.

“Engineering hardware startups in India have the potential to compete globally. Simulation technology helps startups demonstrate product competitiveness, a key challenge they face. The Startup Program supports global startups in accelerating innovation cost-effectively and securing funding for future projects. The company offers early-stage startups access to multiphysics simulation software, supported by our expertise in solving complex problems. It provides early-stage startups with access to multiphysics simulation software and high-performance computing to address engineering challenges quickly and cost-effectively. Since its inception, over 2,100 startups from 58 countries have joined the program, spanning industries like autonomous, high-tech, energy, aerospace and defense, automotive, communications, and healthcare.

SINE collaborates with industry and corporations through various programs, including ideation to prototyping support, entrepreneur fellowship, cross-border program, and scale-up support for hardware and system startups, such as the Plugin accelerator program. “Early-stage startups face significant challenges in realizing their goals. At SINE, we support startups with infrastructure, high-end labs, market, and funding support. Startups need access to high-end tools and software for prototype and product development. The company helps solve engineering challenges with the right tools and software, boosting their chances of success,” said Shaji Varghese, CEO, SINE IIT Bombay. With the company’s multiphysics simulation software, SINE promotes innovation and entrepreneurship. Startups associated with SINE benefit from using engineering simulation to accelerate and evaluate product design and development, fast-tracking time-to-market and improving cost-effectiveness.

“Ansys works with early-stage startups with limited funding and resources to realize their goals. We are pleased to collaborate with SINE IIT Bombay. This partnership reinforces our commitment to fostering innovation and supporting technology startups in India. The Ansys Startup Program aims to empower emerging engineering hardware startups by providing access to simulation software and resources. Together with SINE, we look forward to encouraging the next generation of technological pioneers and driving advancements,” said Murali Pullela, Sales Director, Ansys.
