ChargeZone Names Pritesh Kumar Business Development Director

Pritesh Kumar, with nearly 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, joins ChargeZone to spearhead strategic initiatives, enhance the EV charging infrastructure, and cultivate partnerships.

ChargeZone, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging networks in India, recently appointed Pritesh Kumar as its Director of Business Development. Kumar brings nearly twenty years of experience in the automotive industry to his new role, where he will lead the company’s strategic initiatives, expand the EV charging network, enhance customer engagement, and build partnerships within the EV ecosystem.

Kumar’s responsibilities will include strengthening both B2B and B2C operations, optimising network usage through innovative marketing and customer relationship campaigns, and scaling up Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions. He will also focus on enhancing infrastructure efficiency and broadening the accessibility of ChargeZone’s services nationwide.

Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of ChargeZone, remarked on Kumar’s appointment, emphasizing his strategic expertise and vision as critical to expanding ChargeZone’s EV infrastructure in India. Hariyani praised Kumar’s proven track record in building partnerships and driving network growth, which is pivotal to addressing the growing demand for EV charging solutions.

Previously, Kumar held various leadership roles, including in business development and strategic marketing at Mahindra & Mahindra. Here, he led institutional sales, launched initiatives to target new business segments, and managed significant government contracts, such as those with the Indian Army.

Expressing his enthusiasm for his new position, Kumar stated that ChargeZone’s commitment to sustainable and scalable EV charging infrastructure aligns with his professional goals. He plans to use his experience to foster strategic alliances, drive innovation, and improve customer experiences within the EV sector.

ChargeZone is actively working to expand its high-speed charging network, which supports electric buses, trucks, and personal vehicles. The company has set a goal to establish 25 supercharging stations within the fiscal year, aiming for a total of 500 stations with capacities ranging from 360KW to 1.2MW. Plans for the next six months include deploying additional high-speed chargers to enhance accessibility and charging speed for four-wheeler EVs.

The company’s strategic focus includes efficient station placement, route planning, user convenience with mobile app integration, and multiple payment options. ChargeZone also maintains high safety standards through 24/7 surveillance, emergency support, remote monitoring, and regular inspections.
