EKA Mobility Secures Rs 150 Crore Electric Bus Orders from UPSRTC

EKA Mobility will provide 70 electric buses and their chargers to the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), enhancing sustainable public transit in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, they will maintain these vehicles for 10 years to guarantee efficient operations.

EKA Mobility (Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), an electric mobility and technology company, has successfully secured two orders valued at approximately ₹150 crore from the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). These orders involve the provision and maintenance of 40 EKA 12, 12-meter AC electric buses and 30 EKA 9, 9-meter AC electric buses, along with the necessary charging infrastructure. The inclusion of these vehicles is aimed at bolstering UPSRTC’s fleet with eco-friendly options that emphasize safety, passenger comfort, and operational efficiency. Additionally, the deal includes a decade-long annual maintenance contract (AMC) to maintain consistent vehicle performance.

Rohit Srivastava, Chief Growth Officer at EKA Mobility, has affirmed the company’s dedication to collaborating with UPSRTC to enhance public transportation in Uttar Pradesh. He emphasised that these orders are a testament to EKA Mobility’s commitment to delivering sustainable and efficient mobility solutions across India.

The integration of these electric buses into the UPSRTC fleet is anticipated to advance the state’s progress towards adopting cleaner and more sustainable transportation systems. Based in Pune, EKA Mobility, a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries Limited, is a rising figure in India’s electric vehicle (EV) market, with a focus on electric buses and commercial vehicles. The company is positioned to meet the increasing demand for sustainable mobility solutions, thereby supporting India’s shift to cleaner transportation.

EKA Mobility’s product line includes 9-meter and 12-meter electric buses designed for urban and intercity transit, featuring advanced electric drivetrains, energy-efficient designs, and comprehensive safety systems to optimize performance and comfort. Beyond manufacturing, EKA Mobility extends its services to include charging infrastructure and long-term maintenance contracts to ensure seamless operations for its clients.

The company’s collaborations extend to state transport corporations and private operators for whom it supplies electric buses, also offering full-scale support services like charger installation and fleet management to guarantee effective deployment and management.
