SmartSoC, CDAC Empower Startups Under DLI Scheme

Offering startups free post-silicon validation and multiple foundry options, SmartSoC and CDAC team up to accelerate the design-to-market journey and strengthen self-reliant semiconductor innovation.

SmartSoC Solutions Pvt Ltd, a semiconductor and embedded engineering services firm, has recently announced a partnership with the ChipIN Centre at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) to strengthen India’s Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Programme.

Through this collaboration, SmartSoC will provide post-silicon validation (PSV) services and multiple foundry options to DLI-registered startups and MSMEs on a pro bono basis.

The partnership seeks to tackle some of the toughest challenges faced by semiconductor startups in India, including limited access to world-class backend validation infrastructure and foundry support.

By bridging these crucial gaps, SmartSoC and CDAC aim to accelerate the transition from chip design to commercialisation, reduce time-to-market, and enhance the global competitiveness of Indian innovators.

SmartSoC’s PSV services will help startups thoroughly test their silicon prototypes across functional, performance, and electrical parameters, ensuring they meet international benchmarks before mass production.

These services, typically out of reach for smaller companies due to high costs, will now be accessible through the DLI ecosystem, helping level the playing field and strengthen startup credibility.

“We are honoured to collaborate with CDAC in supporting India’s chip innovators. This effort goes beyond business; it is about building a self-reliant India,” said Bharath Desareddy, CEO of SmartSoC.

CDAC Director General E. Magesh said the collaboration reaffirms the organisation’s commitment to empowering Indian startups with world-class design and validation infrastructure.

Dr. S.D. Sudarsan, Executive Director of CDAC Bangalore, added that initiatives like this reduce cost and risk for startups while boosting their ability to compete globally.

“By offering complimentary access to expert labs, test infrastructure, and engineering services, initiatives like this reduce both cost and risk, enabling Indian startups to compete globally,” he said.
