DoT Academy, IIM Calcutta Unite For Telecom Research

Connecting policy and academia, the DoT’s National Communications Academy and IIM Calcutta join hands to advance telecom research, innovation, and leadership development.

The National Communications Academy (NCA) under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in telecom policy research, capacity building, and executive training.

The partnership aims to create a structured framework for joint initiatives in research, consulting, training, and policy formulation in key areas of information and communication technologies (ICT), mobile communications, and cyberspace.

It also envisions the development of collaborative knowledge programmes, workshops, and advisory platforms to enhance human resource capacity in the telecom sector.

Officials said the initiative will help bridge the gap between academic expertise and policy practice. It will further enable professionals to better respond to emerging technological and regulatory challenges in telecommunications.

The Academy contributes to policy development and human resource strengthening for India’s digital transformation.
