BEL Logs 16% Growth in FY26, Order Book Swells to ₹740 Billion

BEL is also strengthening its push into future-ready technologies, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity

Navratna defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has reported a provisional, unaudited turnover of around ₹26,750 crore for the financial year 2025–26, marking a 16.2% increase from ₹23,024 crore in the previous fiscal.

The company’s export performance also saw strong growth, with overseas sales reaching approximately $141.9 million in FY26, up 33.65% from $106.17 million in the previous year.

During the year, BEL secured fresh orders worth ₹30,000 crore, including export orders valued at $346 million. Key defence contracts included avionics for LCA, mountain radars, electronic warfare (EW) suites for helicopters, air defence radars, electro-optical infrared (EOIR) payloads for airborne and naval platforms, EW systems for naval platforms, fire control and sighting systems for tanks, mobile communication terminals, network systems, counter-unmanned aerial systems, as well as upgrades, spares and services.

In the non-defence segment, BEL bagged orders for communication equipment, IT infrastructure for AIIMS, airport surveillance radars, software solutions, automatic train supervision systems, and electronic voting machines (EVMs).

On the export front, major orders included communication equipment, satellite communication networks, TR modules, electronic fuzes, and drones.

As of April 1, 2026, BEL’s total order book stands at approximately ₹74,000 crore, including an export order book of $495 million.

Commenting on the performance, Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain highlighted that evolving geopolitical tensions and conflicts in West Asia have underscored the importance of self-reliance in strategic sectors. He noted that BEL is well-positioned to navigate these challenges through its diversified portfolio, strong execution capabilities, and focus on indigenisation.

The company is also strengthening its push into future-ready technologies, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced electronic warfare and communication systems, and autonomous platforms, to tap emerging domestic and global opportunities.
