When the world’s biggest robot manufacturer, launched its IPO last month, it was oversubscribed by 8000 times, raising $905 million, a record for Shanghai’s STAR Market for tech Start-ups

China’s most high-profile humanoid robot maker Unitree will get listed on Shanghai’s STAR market for tech startups on August 19. The company is the world’s biggest humanoid-robot maker by sales.
Unitree’s humanoid robots have drawn global attention for their running, dancing and performing martial arts. Its IPO launched last month was oversubscribed by 8000 times, raising $905 million, a record for Shanghai’s STAR market.
Ahead of Wednesday’s trading, the derivatives suggest that Unitree could open at $93 per share, compared to $22 per share price of IPO. This will raise the company’s valuation to $38 billion instead of IPO valuation of $9 billion.
Unitree’s humanoid robots sell for between $5k and $120k while dogoid robots sell for $1,600 to $90,000. The company claims to have produced over 18000 humanoid robots, since it began production.
The company is backed by Tencent, Alibaba, and DeepSeek.
