Anglia Components has signed a new franchise agreement with Taiwan-based optical communication solutions provider OptoMedia, expanding its portfolio of fibre optic transceivers for industrial, defence, video, and data infrastructure applications across the UK and Europe.
Under the agreement, Anglia will offer OptoMedia’s range of high-performance optical communication products through its Anglia Live platform, supported by technical and customer services.
OptoMedia’s portfolio includes SFF, SFP, Mini-SFF, and SDI data transceivers, along with optical converters, HDMI, and KVM solutions. The products are designed for reliable, high-speed data transmission over long distances and target applications including industrial automation, communication networks, IoT, cloud and edge computing, AI, professional broadcasting, and defence.
“OptoMedia has the products and technologies to deliver massive, reliable data transmission across long distances,” said John Bowman, Marketing Director at Anglia Components. He added that the agreement will enable Anglia to offer OptoMedia’s products to customers across the UK and Europe.
Allen Ho, CEO of OptoMedia, said the company selected Anglia as its partner for its combination of online supply-chain management, technical support, and customer service capabilities.
OptoMedia also participates in the Profibus & Profinet (PI) and CC-Link organisations, working with other industry members to support interoperability of its optical communication solutions with products from other global technology providers.
