The partnership is aimed at strengthening Ambarella’s indirect go-to-market strategy for edge AI infrastructure and Physical AI
Ambarella, an edge AI semiconductor company, has entered into a long-term strategic distribution agreement with Macnica Americas and Macnica ATD Europe to expand the availability and adoption of its edge AI infrastructure products across the Americas and EMEA.
Under the non-exclusive agreement, Macnica will distribute Ambarella’s CV-series and N-series SoCs, systems-on-module (SOMs), edge AI systems, evaluation and development platforms, reference designs, software development kits (SDKs), and related solutions.
The partnership is aimed at strengthening Ambarella’s indirect go-to-market strategy for edge AI infrastructure and Physical AI. The companies will combine Ambarella’s AI processing technology and software platform with Macnica’s distribution network, technical expertise, supply-chain infrastructure and customer relationships.
Beyond product distribution, Macnica will work with Ambarella to build an ecosystem of independent software vendors (ISVs), OEMs, ODMs, systems integrators and channel partners. The collaboration will include partner recruitment, technical integration, design-in support, joint go-to-market initiatives and customer deployment assistance.
Macnica will also provide pre-sales technical consultation, product evaluation support, SDK integration assistance and post-sales technical support. The companies plan to jointly participate in industry events and marketing programs to increase awareness of Ambarella’s edge AI technologies.
The initial focus areas include intelligent video analytics, smart infrastructure, autonomous robotics and mobility, industrial IoT, intelligent transportation, retail analytics, security and surveillance, and distributed edge computing.
According to the companies, the partnership will help customers move from technology evaluation and proof-of-concept to commercial deployment by providing access to AI silicon, systems, software and integration capabilities through a combined partner ecosystem.
The agreement will initially enter a commercial development and market-validation phase, during which Ambarella and Macnica will develop joint go-to-market capabilities, identify customer opportunities and enable ecosystem partners. The companies expect the collaboration to expand as customer engagements, design activity and the partner ecosystem grow.
