Despite the export growth Tata electronics reported a consolidated net loss of approximately $170 million crore this year compared to $7.2 million in FY25.
A major contract manufacturer of iPhones in India, Tata electronics, reported total exports of nearly ₹1 lakh crore ($10.5 billion) in FY26, a 29 per cent increase from previous year. Despite the export growth Tata electronics reported a consolidated net loss of ₹1611 (approximately $170 million) crore this year compared to ₹69 crore ($7.2 million) in FY25.
The three entities of Tata electronics, Tata Electronics System Solutions (formerly Wistron business), Tata Electronics Product and Solutions (formerly Pegatron Technology India), and Tata Electronics registered collective export revenue of ₹99,128 crore in FY26, based on company filings with the Registrar of Companies (ROC).
The figures highlight Tata Electronics’ growing integration in Apple’s global supply chain as it diversifies its manufacturing beyond China. Exports to Taiwan totaled $5.03 billion, to the US $4.05 billion, and to Ireland $1.25 billion, as per ROC filings. Exports constituted 76 per cent of total production revenue.
However, the combined foreign outgo of all the three entities, including licensing fees and other charges reached ₹1,29,641 crore ($13.63 billion), significantly higher than their exports. This indicates a high reliance on imported components for iPhone production in India.
Consolidated domestic sales for Tata Electronics rose 46 per cent to $3.17 billion in FY26. Meanwhile operating revenue saw a 96 per cent increase to $13.66 billion. Apple India reported sales of $10.92 billion and a profit of $558.5 million in FY26.
