Ong has developed an application engineering function in Greater China
Heraeus Electronics recently announced William Ong as Global Head of its Semiconductor Materials business line. With 30 years of experience in the electronics industry, with expertise spanning research and development (R&D), sales, business development and global business management.
Before Heraeus Electronics, Ong worked with SCHOTT AG’s Opto-Electronics as a General Manager. In his tenure, he built product management, sales and research teams and led mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence and integration activities. He also expanded sales networks and developed strategic customer partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region. He also developed an application engineering function in Greater China.
Commenting on the appointment, Toni Versluijs, President of Heraeus Electronics, said that Ong’s combination of innovation and business expertise would strengthen the company’s leadership team. His experience in product development, customer relationship management and global business growth is expected to support the expansion of Heraeus Electronics’ Semiconductor Materials business across markets and cultures.
