Flux coating for solder preforms

In October 2013, Indium Corporation introduced a new, high-reliability, low-voiding flux coating for solder preforms. LV1000 reduces false failures while increasing productivity, throughput yields and component performance. This new halide-free (ROL0) material is suited for assembly processes in which the components don’t allow for proper outgassing of volatised flux.

LV1000 provides a durable, level, clear coating that does not clog pick and place equipment, even in automated assembly processes. It offers complete coverage, even with a weight percentage as low as 0.5 per cent. Flux coatings provide consistent, uniform amounts of flux, with excellent control over the flux volume/weight percentage.

PCB cleaning agent

In November 2013, Zestron launched a PCB cleaning agent called ATRON AC 205 for the Indian market. ATRON AC 205 belongs to the category of FAST technology-based cleaning agents and is specifically recommended for the removal of flux residues from assemblies in spray-in-air applications. It has a high bath loading capacity, which results in a significantly longer bath lifetime, reduced cleaning agent consumption and less frequent bath changes. All of this makes it highly cost effective. Additionally, the cleaner has a user friendly formulation. It has no flashpoint, a mild odour and is free of any hazardous substances.
