German multinational engineering and electronics company, Bosch has said that it would be investing Rs 770 crore in 2016-17 it expand its manufacturing capacity in Karnataka and Maharashtra.
“We are investing Rs.770 crore this fiscal to expand capacity in our manufacturing plants at Bidadi near Bengaluru and Nashik for common rail pumps and injectors,” Bosch managing director Steffen Berns told reporters in Bengaluru.
The Indian subsidiary of the German industrial behemoth is also investing an unspecified amount in its research and development (R&D) centre in this tech hub. Bosch takes great pride in its R&D activities and the company has been regularly investing on R&D in this country and across the globe.
With the largest development centre outside Germany here, Bosch India has nine operations and 15 production plants across the country spanning mobility solutions, industrial technology, consumer goods, and energy and building technology, with about 30,000 employees.
The company thinks India as one of their strategic locations and it has from time to time invested a lot in this country.
