Chennai-based space startup AgniKul received an investment of ₹250 million from the Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation to support their technology development.
The Company designs and manufacture orbital-class launch vehicles.
The Co-founder & CEO Srinath Ravichandran notified about this development in a LinekdIn post on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The post said, “Humbled and honoured to have received an equity investment from the Government of Tamil Nadu through TIDCO”. This is a strong sign that the TN state Govt. is fully on-board for supporting original technology developed in this ecosystem.
Srinath also thanked the CM and Industries Minister, citing his happiness over investments happening in the deep tech sector directly through the Government.
The Company is oriented towards developing propulsion components, avionics and cryogenic engines. This investment may boost their scale and R&D further.
