With new investor backing, Bellatrix Aerospace is scaling production and strengthening its international presence.
Indian space propulsion startup Bellatrix Aerospace has raised fresh capital to accelerate its global expansion and ramp up manufacturing capabilities as demand for satellite propulsion technologies continues to grow.
With the latest funding round, the company’s total capital raised has reached approximately $31 million. The investment will be used to expand production capacity, strengthen engineering capabilities, and support international market expansion, particularly in the United States.
As part of its overseas growth strategy, Bellatrix is working toward establishing a dedicated U.S. facility. Although the site remains under development, the company has already begun initiating production through existing partnerships in the region, ensuring that customer timelines are not affected. The startup currently maintains a small operational and corporate presence in the U.S., while most of its nearly 130 employees remain based in India, where it continues to scale technical hiring.
Company leadership described the funding as a key milestone in its transition from flight-proven technology to large-scale commercial manufacturing. By reducing propulsion system lead times to under six months and improving unit economics, Bellatrix aims to deliver competitive cost-to-reliability performance while addressing a growing multi-million-dollar order backlog.
The expansion push follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with a major U.S. satellite manufacturer, positioning Bellatrix as a preferred propulsion partner and strengthening its entry into global satellite supply chains.
The funding round attracted participation from new investors including Hero Investment Office, 35 North Ventures, Indusbridge Ventures and Monarch Holdings, alongside existing backers such as Inflexor, Pavestone, GrowX, Startup Xseed and Survam Partners.
Bellatrix plans to announce additional customer deployments and commercial milestones in the coming months as it advances toward scaled production and broader international operations.
