Foxconn-Led Tech Firms Plan $20 Billion AI Server, EV Hub in Poland

The investment comes as Foxconn expands its global manufacturing footprint to meet growing demand for AI infrastructure

Tech companies led by Foxconn are advancing plans for a NT$650 billion ($20 billion) manufacturing and R&D hub in Poland focused on AI servers, electronics, and electric vehicles.

The initiative will span two locations. In Lower Silesia, a technology park backed by the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association and anchored by Foxconn is planned in Miękinia. The facility is expected to focus on AI server manufacturing and related electronics.

In Silesia, Foxconn’s electric vehicle unit Foxtron and state-owned ElectroMobility Poland are developing an EV production and R&D centre in Jaworzno. The companies are expected to establish a joint venture this fall, with construction planned to begin in spring 2027. Production is targeted to start in 2029.

Polish officials have described the broader initiative as potentially the largest foreign investment project in the country’s history, according to CMoney.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has positioned the investment as part of Poland’s efforts to move beyond basic assembly and develop higher-value manufacturing and R&D capabilities in areas including automobiles and semiconductors.

The investment comes as Foxconn expands its global manufacturing footprint to meet growing demand for AI infrastructure. The company, which reported record revenue last year driven by strong AI server demand, has been increasing production capacity across India, the US, and Europe to bring manufacturing closer to major customers.
