GSME is also expanding its test engineering team across the US, Taiwan, Europe, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region
GS Microelectronics and Teradyne have announced a multi-year partnership to establish a semiconductor test and evaluation centre at GSME’s headquarters in Silicon Valley, California.
The facility will be spread across GSME’s 42,000 sq ft headquarters and will be equipped with Teradyne’s automated semiconductor test systems. The centre is intended to support semiconductor device evaluations, engineering development, customer demonstrations, pilot production, and production-readiness activities.
The facility will cater to customers developing semiconductor technologies for AI, silicon photonics, automotive, power management, and RF applications. GSME will integrate Teradyne’s test platforms into the dedicated facility and use them for test development and technical training.
GSME is also expanding its test engineering team across the US, Taiwan, Europe, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region to support test programme development and customer requirements.
As part of the partnership, GSME and Teradyne will collaborate on joint sales engagements, account development, technical workshops, and customer briefings.
“Standardizing on Teradyne’s flagship test platforms enhances our custom silicon and manufacturing enablement services while giving customers a seamless pathway from device evaluation and test development to production readiness,” said Farhat Jahangir, President and CEO, GSME.
Shannon Poulin, President of the Semiconductor Test Group at Teradyne, said the partnership combines Teradyne’s test platforms with GSME’s engineering expertise to help customers transition from semiconductor development to volume production.
The new test centre is scheduled to open in Q4 2026, with customer demonstrations and device evaluations planned to begin following its opening.
