Honeywell Aerospace will work on its own and expand its business in aviation, aerospace and defence technologies.
Honeywell Technologies has completed the previously announced spin-off of its Aerospace Technologies business, marking a major milestone in its multi-year portfolio transformation.
The newly independent company, Honeywell Aerospace, has begun trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol “HONA”, while Honeywell Technologies continues to trade under “HON.”
The separation officially transforms the former conglomerate into three independent companies, Honeywell Technologies, Honeywell Aerospace and Solstice Advanced Materials—each with its own strategic focus and growth agenda.
“This is a defining moment in Honeywell’s legacy,” said Vimal Kapur, Chairman and CEO of Honeywell Technologies. He noted that the separation provides each company with greater operational focus, financial flexibility and the ability to accelerate innovation while pursuing long-term value creation.
In this initiative, Honeywell’s contribution towards distribution was one share of Honeywell Aerospace common stock for every two Honeywell Technologies shares held by shareholders of record as of June 15, 2026.
The company also completed a 1-for-2 reverse stock split, reducing its outstanding shares from approximately 634 million to 317 million, while lowering the number of authorised shares from 2 billion to 1 billion.
Honeywell has a plan to sharpen its focus on industrial automation and autonomous technologies. Honeywell Aerospace will work on its own and expand its business in aviation, aerospace and defence technologies.
