Kandou AI has opened its India headquarters in Hyderabad, marking a major step in the company’s global expansion strategy and reinforcing the city’s growing importance as a semiconductor and AI technology hub.
The new engineering centre will play a key role in developing semiconductor technologies that address the increasing demands of artificial intelligence (AI), data centres and high-performance computing (HPC). As AI workloads continue to grow, the industry requires faster data movement, lower latency and improved power efficiency. Kandou AI focuses on developing connectivity solutions that enhance bandwidth and energy efficiency across modern computing platforms.
Located in Hyderabad, the headquarters expands the company’s global engineering footprint and will serve as a centre for chip design, verification, validation, firmware, software development, systems engineering and customer-facing technical support. By bringing these functions under one roof, Kandou AI aims to accelerate product development, strengthen collaboration across its international engineering teams and provide faster support to customers worldwide.
The facility was inaugurated during a ceremony attended by employees, customers, partners, industry leaders and government representatives. The event featured demonstrations of Kandou AI’s next-generation AI infrastructure technologies, a leadership discussion and networking sessions. Among the attendees were K.T. Rama Rao, member of legislative assembly, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former Telangana minister for information technology, electronics and communications, and Srujan Linga, CEO and co-founder of Kandou AI.
Linga said Hyderabad’s strong pool of semiconductor engineering talent made it the ideal location for the company’s India headquarters. He added that Kandou AI intends to work closely with universities, industry stakeholders and government agencies to help develop the next generation of semiconductor engineers while supporting the city’s continued growth as a global semiconductor design hub.
Rama Rao said the investment reflects Hyderabad’s emergence as a globally recognised destination for semiconductor and deep technology companies. He noted that the new headquarters is expected to contribute to innovation, create high-value employment opportunities and strengthen Telangana’s semiconductor ecosystem while expanding Kandou AI’s global engineering capabilities.
