Kaynes Electronics Manufacturing Pvt Ltd (KEMPL), a unit of Kaynes Technology India, has announced plans to set up a new manufacturing facility in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, with an investment of ₹3.52 billion.
According to the company, the facility will produce high-tech electronic components used across multiple industries, including automotive, defence, aerospace, and healthcare.
It will be developed on a five-acre (approximately 2.02 hectares) plot at Badwai IT Park and is expected to commence operations by mid-2026. Once operational, the plant is projected to generate employment for over 1000 skilled workers.
This initiative is part of the Madhya Pradesh Semiconductor Policy 2025, which aims to attract technology-driven enterprises to the state. The policy offers benefits including infrastructure support, financial incentives, and targeted skill development to promote industrial growth.
Moreover, the project is also receiving support from the state’s science and technology department under the Cabinet Committee on Investment Promotion (CCIP), which fosters collaboration between government and industry in emerging sectors.
Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Technology, said the new unit would not only address increasing customer demands but also contribute to India’s vision of becoming a global manufacturing hub.
The Bhopal plant will also mark Kaynes’ first major footprint in Central India, adding to its existing manufacturing presence across eight locations nationwide. With over 30 years in the electronics space, the company aims to expand its reach to serve its growing clientele more effectively.
