Keltron Component expands its capacity to manufacture all types of electrolytic capacitors

Friday, January 10, 2014: Keltron Component Complex Ltd (KCCL), a government of Kerala undertaking and is a subsidiary of Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd, has expanded its capacity and has now the capability to manufacture almost all types of electrolytic capacitors catering to the electronic components market.
KCCL also manufactures metallised polypropylene motor run capacitors, capacitors for power factor corrections, carbon & metal film resistors and piezo-electric quartz crystals.

In the electrolytic capacitor segment, KCCL is expanding their production capacity in the case of high CV value large can aluminium electrolytic capacitors with screw terminal lead out. Additional imported production and testing machineries for the project already installed and factory is in a position to cater the entire spectrum of screw/lug/snap-in type/can type capacitors. Broad specification of the product range are listed below:

Type series Endurance category General specifications
Screw terminal type MP series +85ºC /2000 hrs Voltage range:
10VDC ~ 450VDC
Screw terminal type NP series +105ºC / 2000 hrs Can size:
Ø 35x62mm to 90x200mm
Lug terminal type
ML series
+85ºC / 2000 hrs Operating Temperature: * -40ºC to +85ºC /105 ºC for 10-100 VDC
* -40 ºC to +85ºC/105ºC for 160-450VDC

Snap-in terminal typeMB series +85ºC /2000 hrs
Snap-in terminal type NB series +105ºC / 2000 hrs Capacitance: 100 µF ~ 25000 µF with tolerance ± 20%
Leakage current: ≤√CV (C=cap value;
V=working voltage)

The company was incorporated in 1974 for manufacture of aluminium electrolytic capacitors. The manufacturing facility was set up in technical collaboration with Sprague Electromag, Belgium. KCCL commenced its commercial production in August 1978.
