Friday, January 10, 2014: Modern Solar Technologies (India), New Delhi has recently launched a new series of LED based bulbs and lighting solutions called UFL-user friendly lights. These lighting systems are a unique product range developed by its Advisor & technocrat Mr.Jagdish Sharma, who has been working in the field of LED lighting systems since 2004 and has international experience of over 30 yrs.working in the field of Solar/Green energy and energy conservation.
The latest in the series are chip LED based 3W-5W-7W bulbs having an innovative metallic body and shell design that serve as a heat sink and diffuser respectively, getting rid of a separate heat sink.Some of the UFL bulb shapes are quite interesting and different from the usual shapes available in the market.Since the products are made in-house, they are claimed to be sturdy(non-breakable),long lasting(estimated to work for several years on a 8 hr.daily basis) and operate in a wide range of voltage from 100-280V. The UFL bulbs are repairable and cost effective– expected to pay back 4-5 times their cost.Estimated to save 50-60% energy as compared to CFL, are eco-friendly– unlike the CFL/FTL– as UFL do not contain any mercury or gas. In brief, these bulbs and other lighting systems for both domestic and commercial/industrial use are not only energy saving but also substantial fuel/electricity cost cutting ‘aptly conveying the inventor’s philosphy of ‘Energy Economics’ !
