Securing a large order in Gujarat, KPIG Energia expands its project portfolio with Aditya Birla Renewables.
KPIG Energia Private Limited has secured a 96MWp solar project order from Aditya Birla Renewables Limited for a Balance-of-System power plant in Gujarat.
The order involves the development of a 64MWac/96MWp solar Balance-of-System (BOS) power plant at Mahua, Gujarat. The company confirmed receiving a Letter of Award (LOA) from ABRL for the same.
The Mahua-based project is expected to contribute significantly to Gujarat’s renewable power generation capacity, supporting both regional sustainability goals and national climate commitments.
In renewable energy, BoS (balance of system) includes all components except the solar panels. These parts help move the direct current (DC) from the panels and convert it into alternating current (AC). This conversion is needed for grid use and everyday applications. BoS includes inverters, wiring, switches, and mounting systems. These elements ensure smooth and efficient power delivery.
The new project adds to KPI Green Energy’s role in India’s solar sector. It also shows the rising demand for large-scale clean energy solutions. The company stated that the project scope covers everything from design and engineering to procurement and supply. It also includes loading, unloading, transportation, insurance, installation, testing, synchronisation, and final commissioning in line with the scheduled commercial operation date.
