Lohum Cleantech Leadership Team Joined By 3 Veterans

The company has welcomed experienced investor Sachin Maheshwari as the Head of Corporate Development, finance expert Nitin Goel as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and research and development innovator Chidambaram Mandan as the Vice-President and Head of R&D and Quality Control.

Lohum Cleantech, a producer of sustainable energy transition materials through battery recycling, raw material refining, and battery repurposing, announced on Tuesday the addition of three renowned industry experts to strengthen its leadership team.

The company has appointed seasoned investor Sachin Maheshwari as the Head of Corporate Development, finance expert Nitin Goel as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and research and development innovator Chidambaram Mandan as the Vice-President and Head of R&D and Quality Control.

These strategic appointments aim to manage and sustain Lohum’s rapidly growing scale and efficiency in the growing sectors of energy and clean mobility. As Vice-President & Head of R&D and Quality Control at Lohum, Chidambaram Mandan will focus on enhancing recycling process efficiencies, reducing CO2 generation during recycling, and maximizing material purity.

Sachin Maheshwari, as the Head of Corporate Development at Lohum, will be responsible for exploring expansion opportunities both organically and inorganically through partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic investments to accelerate Lohum’s global growth.

As the CFO of Lohum, Nitin Goel will lead the organization’s finance strategy and support its growth ambitions, as stated in a media release.

Rajat Verma, Founder & CEO of Lohum Cleantech, expressed excitement about the growth opportunities both in India and globally and the strengthening of the leadership team for the upcoming energy transition developments. He welcomed the three industry change-makers to Lohum, aiming for the next level of growth for the organization and contributing to India’s mission for cleantech solutions.

Nitin Goel is a Chartered Accountant and Cost & Management Accountant with over 20 years of experience in senior finance positions in publicly traded and privately held companies. He joined Lohum from SABIC, where he served as Director of Finance, and has previously held senior roles at UOP Honeywell, Kohler, and Bosch.

Sachin Maheshwari brings over 25 years of investing, operating, and entrepreneurial experience in India and the United States, with more than 10 years in private equity and venture capital. He was previously the Managing Director at Zephyr Peacock, a private equity firm focused on India. He has held senior-level positions at Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Opus Capital in Silicon Valley (USA).

Chidambaram Mandan has over 20 years of experience in Chemical Catalysis, Renewable Energies, and Biofuels. Before joining Lohum, he led the R&D of Precious Metal Based Catalysts at Hindustan Platinum, where he developed and commercialized more than 65 catalysts for various chemical and pharmaceutical industries. He has published 26 international peer-reviewed articles, including a review on Algae to Oil, and has 47 patent applications, with 25 granted so far, according to the release.
