MNRE calls for greater cooperation with US on renewables

Minister of New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah has asked for greater cooperation in technology transfers and energy storage. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) called for an extension of existing cooperation in the field of renewable energy with the US, at a meeting with the US Department of Energy (DOE) in New Delhi. He emphasised technology transfer and storage to accompany renewable energy generation among areas of desired future cooperation between the nations. India has also asked for greater cooperation in the areas of integration of solar and wind energy, small grids and policy frameworks for enhancing deployments of renewable energy.
