Tuesday, January 21, 2014: Technopark-based Ronds Innotech has made a solar-powered inverter that can be controlled and monitored by Android or iOS based smartphones. The application, ‘Ronds C Tracker’ utilised for the smartphone can be availed freely from any App Store.
According to newindianexpress.com, after connecting it to the phone you can become aware of the details of charging, discharging, performance, operations history and usage of the inverter. The solar inverter’s other features include GSM-based remote maintenance, lesser amount of electricity, extended battery life, automated power source selection and remote monitoring without Internet.
The inverter does not charge during its peak time i.e. between 6-10pm using the mechanism of peak load management. During the day, the automated power source selection (APSS) mechanism runs the applications from sunlight without consuming power from AC Mains supply, hence reducing the power bill. At night in case the load connected requires more power, it will change. As per Sijo Joseph, CEO, Rounds Innotech, “The product will be available initially in south India and then expanded to other markets. The price range is Rs 42,000 with total implementation cost. We will be offering OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) services as per the requirement.”
