As Manish Sharma ends a 17-year journey with Panasonic Life Solutions India, his legacy of innovation, growth, and industry leadership continues to shape the company’s future.
Panasonic Life Solutions India has announced that Manish Sharma, Chairman and ESGO (Executive Sponsor for Group Operations) of the company, will step down after an accomplished 17-year career with the organisation.
According to the company, Sharma, who played a central role in shaping Panasonic’s business direction and growth in India, will support the company during the transition period. Tadashi Chiba, Managing Director and CEO, will continue to lead Panasonic’s operations in India.
Reflecting on his journey, Sharma said he felt immense pride in seeing Panasonic evolve from building a strong local presence to becoming a diversified and trusted brand that touches millions of lives.
He credited the company’s growth to a talented leadership team and a culture driven by trust, innovation, and a customer-focused approach.
Sharma added that with a renewed global strategy in place, Panasonic’s India leadership, under Chiba, was well-positioned to drive future growth. Masahiro Shinada, President and CEO of Panasonic Corporation, expressed gratitude for Sharma’s contributions, acknowledging his role in strengthening India’s position as a key market and manufacturing hub for the group. He reaffirmed Panasonic’s commitment to India and confidence in its local leadership team.
During his tenure, Sharma led strategic expansion across consumer, business, and government segments, driving profitability and local innovation. He championed initiatives such as the India Innovation Centre, expanded manufacturing with the Jhajjar facility, and advanced digital transformation and sustainability efforts.
Beyond Panasonic, Sharma has been a strong advocate for India’s electronics sector through leadership roles in FICCI, CEAMA, and the government’s SCALE committee, contributing to industry growth and policy development.
