Friday, February 18, 2011: One such case is of PCI Ltd, which has entered into a joint venture with European giant Riello UPS—one of the leading companies in power protection technology. The joint venture has been named Riello PCI India Pvt Ltd.
Explaining the factors that led PCI to enter into this joint venture, Anil Munjal, director and CEO, Riello PCI India Pvt Ltd, says, “It is high time that we opt for environmental friendly power protection systems, and keeping in line with this corporate social responsibility, we strategically planned to get into this joint venture. Riello UPS has been an initiator of green UPS, and is the first European manufacturer to rate its products for ECO energy level efficiency.”
Now Riello PCI will sell its products under the brand name Riello Aros UPS, covering the range of 1 kVA to 6400 kVA. Some of its best selling models are Flexus 10-20 kVA, Sentry Multistandard and Sentry MPS HP. PCI being the major shareholder will be responsible for the supply, installation, commissioning, systems integration and service support across the county. The JV caters to sectors like medical electronics, industry, banking, educational institutions, radar and telecommunications.
Strategy to capture market
Riello PCI aims to capture the biggest market share for three phase UPS. “We are already in the third position in this category, and with our strong R&D, we are confident of achieving our target. Our commitment towards excellence in UPS solutions and our focus on providing synergised power supply solutions to our clients, will help us capture the market,” says Anil Munjal.
