SECO Integrates Qualcomm Tech For Next-Gen Embedded Systems

To unveil advanced embedded solutions at Embedded World 2025, SECO teams up with Qualcomm, powering industrial AI, IoT, and edge computing with Dragonwing anf Snapdragon tech.

SECO, a provider of embedded computing solutions, recently announced its collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies for advanced industrial solutions. This focuses on integrating Qualcomm’s Dragonwing processors and Snapdragon X Series platforms into SECO’s products, set to be presented at Embedded World 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany, from 11-13 March.

The collaboration will further facilitate the expansion of SECO’s product portfolio, featuring high-performance, energy-efficient embedded solutions. Among the offerings are system-on-modules (SoMs) in the SMARC form factor, incorporating Qualcomm’s Dragonwing QCS5430 and QCS6490 processors.

These modules are designed to support industrial human-machine interfaces (HMIs), handheld devices, machine vision, and AI-powered applications.

Additionally, SECO is developing single board computers (SBCs) based on Qualcomm’s Dragonwing IQ-615 processor, targeting industrial HMIs, robotic controls, smart vision, and intelligent edge applications. The company is also exploring a SoM variant using the IQ-615 to meet the evolving needs of industrial customers.

Furthermore, SECO is working on a new Computer-On-Module in the COM Express space that leverages Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series platforms, offering superior computing, AI capabilities, and energy efficiency. This solution will support a wide range of applications, including the Snapdragon X Elite, X Plus, and X Platforms, ensuring versatility for different performance needs.

SECO is also exploring next-generation AI platforms using Qualcomm’s Dragonwing IQ8 and IQ9 Series processors. These solutions will power AI-driven SBCs and AI Box systems, enabling real-time intelligence, edge computing, and machine learning integration in industrial environments.

Regarding the matter, Davide Catani, Chief Technology Officer at SECO, noted, “With our expanding portfolio of solutions based on Qualcomm and Snapdragon platforms, we empower industrial customers to harness the full potential of AI, IoT, and edge computing.”

At Embedded World 2025, SECO and Qualcomm will showcase their latest innovations, including a Voice Command and LLM Technical Assistant, designed to answer technical queries related to SECO’s electronic boards.
