Delivering 14 MW of rooftop solar capacity, Servotech strengthens Andhra Pradesh’s clean energy push under a major government mandate.
Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd has secured a ₹737 million contract from the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (NREDCAP) to deploy grid connected rooftop solar systems under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The project covers the Kavali division and aims to expand clean energy access for underserved communities across the region.
According to the company, the mandate includes designing, engineering, supplying, installing, testing and commissioning rooftop solar plants for 5,886 Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe households. The deployment will follow a Utility Led Aggregation (CAPEX) model and will be supported by five years of comprehensive operations and maintenance.
The initiative is expected to deliver reliable and cost effective solar power to thousands of beneficiaries, aligning with Andhra Pradesh’s long term renewable energy goals and contributing to social and economic upliftment.
Sarika Bhatia, Whole Time Director at Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd, said the project underscores the company’s commitment to inclusive clean energy growth. “We are honored to work with NREDCAP on a project that brings solar energy directly to thousands of consumers from the community. This order reflects our execution strength in large scale distributed solar deployments,” she said.
The project further strengthens Servotech Renewable’s presence in India’s distributed solar market and supports national efforts to accelerate adoption of rooftop solar under government led initiatives.
