Provider of energy storage, communication and connectivity and electrical solutions, Shilpi Cable Technologies announced that it will foray into lighting market.
As part of the company’s expansion plan, Shilpi Cable seeks to raise its sales to US$ one billion by 2020.
According to reports, the company has plans to enter LED lighting vertical in the next quarter under the brand ‘Safe’. Shilpi Cable is under process of maintaining sales network in business-to-consumer segment.
It has also started with a project to manufacture RF cables and now the company has become a prominent player in the cables for telecom, auto and consumer durable segments. It has initiated to promote ‘Safe’ as a retail brand.
Under the Safe brand, the company has already introduced wires, switches and MCB and if reports are to believed, it will first begin to outsource the switch-gears, modular switches and LED lights.
